Soapstone is a natural stone composed largely of mineral talc, giving the material the smooth feel of soap. Soapstone is dense and nonporous which means it doesn’t stain – giving it high marks as a kitchen or bath surface. Being chemically neutral means that acids like tomatoes and lemon juice won’t damage it, and its density makes it impenetrable to most would-be stains. Another plus? The density of soapstone enables it to withstand very high heat with no damage.

USA Stone and Marble recently completed a job in our kitchen. A small room, but very important.
